If you re sharing your externalinterface with other machines (in other words, if your computer is acting as a gateway for aninternal network), you should also select theForward Traffic and Do Masquerading check box. Editing the Rules with WebminAfter you ve configured your firewall with a friendlyfirewall builder, you may want to fine-tune netfilterto better fit your needs. If you re running Mandrakeor Fedora Linux, the graphical firewall builders don tgive you many options. SuSE Firewall2 is a bit morepowerful, but it was really designed to be simple, notflexible. Relax, you don t have to hit the commandline. The quickest and easiest way to tweak your firewallrules is with a system administration tool calledWebmin. With Webmin, you can perform tasks suchas configuring servers, managing users and groups, arranging backups, and scheduling cron jobs, allfrom within your favorite browser. If you prefer, youcan use Webmin to do many of the tasks that arehandled by Mandrake, SuSE, and Fedora administra- tion tools. Many third-party modules are also avail- able to expand on Webmin s basic capabilities.
