If youhave access to a Windows Terminal Server (orWindows XP), you can use the RDP (remote desktopprotocol) to connect to your Windows desktop. Citrix users can connect to Citrix servers with wfica. You can run VNC server on any Windows computer, but RDP runs much faster if you can use it. tsclientis a user-friendly interface that can makeconnections with VNC, RDP, and Citrix ICA desktops. As if that isn t enough, it s included with Fedora andsimple to install. You can be connected to a host inminutes with tsclient. We recommend the tsclientpackage for all yourremote desktop viewing needs. Its graphical inter- face makes it quick and easy to connect to anyremote desktop using the protocols that you veinstalled. If you ve installed the vncviewerRPM package, tsclientgives you a friendly interface toremote VNC desktops. Install rdesktop, and tsclientlets you connect to Windows Terminal Server desk- tops. tsclientwill even build Citrix connections foryou if you ve installed the Citrix client software onyour computer. Go ahead and install the tsclientand VNC RPMpackages (see Technique 17 if you need help withthe RPM installer).
