To download and install Apache, follow these steps: 1.Open a terminal window and enter thefollowing command: # synapticYou re prompted to enter the rootpassword. 2.Enter the rootpassword and click OK. Synaptic opens. 3.Click the Update button (on the toolbar). Synaptic connects to each repository andupdates the local index that tells Synaptic whichprograms are available (see Figure 42-1). 4.Enter httpdin the Find field in the upper-rightcorner of the window. Synaptic finds the first package whose namestarts with httpd.
